I am a 54-year-old mother of two teenage girls and have been married for 19 years. I am an active volunteer in our parish, and I have worked as the secretary and the vice president on the school's PTO and Athletic Boards. I am a proud resident of Clawson for more than 45 years.
In November of 2021, I was elected to be on the Clawson City Charter Commission, and then selected by the other Commissioners to act as the Chairperson. On November 7, 2023, the voters passed the newly revised Charter. I am running for City Council in order to ensure the Charter is honored, update the outdated ordinances, and reestablish accountability and professionalism in the Clawson City Council.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management with experience as an Operations Coordinator in the automotive industry. I have knowledge in logistics, strategic planning, problem solving, account management, forecasting, and marketing. I am a person of character who will bring integrity to the City Council.
I will actively listen to residents in order to ensure that their voices are heard. Having them feel welcome to voice their concerns is of great importance to me. I care about being a part of a City Council that makes residents feel comfortable in raising issues and knowing that they will receive a response in a timely manner.
I worked with eight other elected Charter Commissioners to update the charter so it is better understood. I will honor the Charter by ensuring that the knowledge I gained is applied to issues that concern the Charter.
I will continue the existing committee that examines and updates the ordinances. I will work closely with the City Manager and other city officials to ensure that the changes are relevant.
