My Bio

I graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science and have been working as a software engineer for the past 25+ years. I have been a resident of Somerset County for the past 17 years, and Bridgewater for the past five. I have always made it a point to be an active volunteer in all of the schools my kids have attended – I am currently the secretary (and most recent past president) of the BR Theatre Arts Council, which supports the BRHS Theatre Arts Department. Anyone who has attended a production at BRHS in the past few years has almost certainly interacted with me as I coordinated our volunteers, worked at the box office, concessions table, or as an usher. Beyond theatre, I have chaperoned class field trips, volunteered with the PTO organizations for various events, and participated in the BRRSD Strategic Planning sessions in 2024. Outside of the schools, I spent a year volunteering with the Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County, tutoring an adult learner in improving their speaking, reading, and writing English skills. Lastly, where needed, I assist my son’s Scouts BSA Troop in transportation to-and-from events and trips and serving on Boards of Review - an opportunity to evaluate what the scout has learned before they earn their next rank.

Prior to moving to Bridgewater, I was active in the North Plainfield community, where I founded the Friends of the North Plainfield Memorial Library and was appointed by the mayor to serve on his Library Advisory Committee, first as Treasurer and, later, Chairperson. For several years, I coached teams of 6-10 year old kids in the FIRST LEGO League Jr., mentoring them in STEM concepts and public speaking skills.
