My Bio

I’m Don Enos, your neighbor in Ward 3 and a dedicated community advocate serving as Blaine Planning Commissioner and Vice President of the Blaine Chamber of Commerce. I’ve spent decades working in business development, real estate, and strategic consulting, and I’ve learned that authentic leadership begins by listening. My campaign isn’t about empty promises or political posturing; it’s about restoring a Blaine where local voices guide decisions, and where public participation isn’t an afterthought but a priority.

If elected to the Blaine City Council, I will focus on strengthening our community by championing practical policies that help small businesses grow, create local jobs, revitalize our downtown, protect our working waterfront, and support families and youth. I commit to governing with transparency, accountability, and integrity—ensuring every decision is grounded in what benefits our residents. Together, we can build a Blaine that reflects our shared values, ambitions, and hopes for the future.

My Key Issues

Housing

As home prices climb beyond the reach of working families, small businesses shutter, and schools face growing challenges, we must redefine affordable housing as accessible, community-rooted living, housing that allows families to live where they work, learn, and contribute. By investing in vibrant neighborhoods and partnering with schools and youth programs, we can ensure Blaine remains a place where families are supported, futures are built, and no one is priced out of the community they call home.

Economic Development

To attract and retain businesses in Blaine, we must build a climate where local entrepreneurs can thrive, cutting unnecessary red tape, prioritizing job-creating projects, and supporting policies that make it easier to grow and hire locally. Revitalizing our downtown with smart, mixed-use development and championing our working waterfront through strategic investment will preserve Blaine’s unique identity while fostering a strong, sustainable economy rooted in local opportunity. We need to open Blaine for Business

Urban planning and smart growth

Balancing growth with neighborhood preservation means planning with purpose, honoring the character of Blaine’s established communities while meeting long-term needs through thoughtful, state-aligned development. By restoring public participation, creating space for meaningful input at every council meeting, and holding regular listening sessions, we can ensure that Blaine grows in a way that reflects our community’s values, not just today, but for generations to come.
