My Bio
My name is Bruce Gaynor and I'm running for re-election to Norcross City Council. For my wife, Jan, and me, Norcross has been home since 2009. We moved here from the Cleveland, Ohio, area for a job relocation and love the unique blend of small-town charm and big-city vibrancy that Norcross offers. We have two daughters in Ohio, one son in Lawrenceville, and four grandchildren.
I had a 40-year career as a sales and marketing executive for companies like Rockwell Automation and WEG Electric4. This business experience taught me valuable skills like leadership, consensus-building, and the importance of collaboration, all of which have been beneficial during my time on the City Council.

Complete the Public Safety Building by the end of 2026 Ensure that equipment and staffing of NPD is maintained
Responsive and Ethical Government:
I am committed to a government that is ethical, accountable, and responsive to its citizens. I am proud to have been a leader in changing the city charter to increase the Homestead Exemption by 500%, which lowered taxes for Norcross homeowners.
Thriving Downtown
Downtown Norcross is one of the city's "crown jewels". It is a top priority to promote and support our downtown merchants and the walkable, small-town atmosphere.
Sustainable Growth
This includes realizing the Master Plan for the Buford Highway Gateway through strong collaboration among all stakeholders. Encouraging employers to expand in downtown and other areas of the city is a prime responsibility of the City Council.
