Kalla Etheredge is a mother, veteran, and dedicated community activist who is once again seeking a seat on the Prichard City Council. With a strong commitment to grassroots change, she positions herself as an independent voice who knows how to get things done. As a nonpartisan candidate, Etheredge brings years of experience in nonprofit leadership, K–12 education, and community organizing—both locally and nationally. Her involvement spans from disaster relief with Community Action Organizers to reproductive rights advocacy with Black Feminist Future, where she led over 20,000 citizens in a peaceful march to the Supreme Court. She has also played a key role in movements like the Poor People’s Campaign and the Women’s March. Holding a master’s degree in Criminology with High Distinction from Loyola University New Orleans, Etheredge currently seeks a director-level position in higher education while continuing her mission to uplift Prichard. Through her previous campaign, "Etheredge for Everyone," she championed political education, unity, accountability, and reform—values that remain at the heart of her platform today, with a renewed focus on improving community safety and government transparency.
