I’m Samantha Cochran-Wilson—wife, mom of four CCISD students, and proud graduate of Copperas Cove ISD. From kindergarten through graduation, this district shaped my life. I’m running for school board to help shape its future.
Parents are the primary decision-makers in their children’s education. Schools exist to partner with parents, not replace them. Parents should always be informed, respected, and empowered when it comes to their child’s learning, safety, and well-being.
Every child deserves access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success—whether that’s college, career, military service, or a skilled trade. Quality education means equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive, while also supporting teachers with the tools and resources to do their jobs well.
Extracurricular opportunities are not “extra”—they are essential. From athletics and fine arts to clubs, UIL, and career/technical programs, these activities give students a sense of belonging, teach teamwork, and build leadership skills that last a lifetime. A well-rounded education should support students in the classroom and beyond it.
