Kimber Ivy is a mom, public servant, and committed leader working every day to protect what makes Roy special while moving it forward. As the current Mayor of Roy, she has taken on the hard work of addressing neglected issues head-on — from long-overdue water infrastructure repairs to revitalizing our city’s park and public safety systems. She was appointed Mayor in 2023 and then elected to continue serving in 2024. Under her leadership, Roy has secured millions in water funding, over $155,000 in park improvements, and has pushed key projects forward in partnership with state representatives. As a mother of young children, Kimber understands the importance of safe neighborhoods, clean water, and creating a city where families can thrive. She is grounded in faith, guided by integrity, and driven by a deep love for her community. Her leadership is accessible, honest, and forward-thinking — built on a belief that every resident deserves to be heard and respected. Kimber is proudly endorsed by leaders across every level of government, including: Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, State Rep. Andrew Barkis, State Rep. Josh Penner (Current- Mayor of Orting; State Representative Dist. 31), Pierce County Councilmember Amy Cruver, and Joe DePinto- Mayor of Yelm. As she runs for re-election, Mayor Ivy is focused on finishing what she started — clean, affordable water, safer streets, a revitalized park, and responsible growth that keeps Roy’s rural character intact. "I’m not afraid to take on the tough stuff. I’ll keep showing up, keep listening, and keep fighting for the community I love." — Mayor Kimber Ivy
Public safety is the foundation of a strong community. I’m committed to supporting our first responders, improving emergency readiness, and making sure every resident feels safe — in their home, on their street, and in their daily life. Safe neighborhoods aren’t optional — they’re essential. I’ve completed the planning and design phase for a much-needed crosswalk across Hwy 507 — a high-traffic area used by our children to get to school. Once funding is secured, we’ll move into the construction phase to make this crossing safer for our families. The planning and execution of chip sealing Roy’s streets to improve road conditions and safety citywide started summer of 2025. In addition, we’ve increased police coverage during nights and weekends, and I’ve initiated research and discussions on traffic mitigation for Hwy 507 to reduce congestion and improve safety for everyone who travels through Roy.
Roy’s park shouldn’t be a forgotten, dilapidated space. Our families deserve a safe, beautiful place to gather and play. This year, I secured $155,000 for park improvements and launched the Muck Creek cleanup, where Chum salmon were seen for the first time in years. I’m working with the state and the Nisqually Tribe to enhance the creek and continue transforming our park into a space the whole community can be proud of. This is just the beginning — and I won’t stop until it’s done.
Clean water isn’t a luxury — it’s a basic right. For far too long, Roy’s water infrastructure has been ignored because it’s been labeled “too complicated.” But that’s not a good enough excuse. Our families are already paying for clean water — they shouldn’t have to spend thousands more on filters just to make it safe. I see our water system not just as a project, but as a situation of urgency — one that directly impacts our health, our growth, and our quality of life. I’ve worked hard to get this issue moving, and I’m proud to say I’ve secured over $1.5 million to plan, design, and begin constructing the solutions Roy desperately needs. This problem has been neglected for over 50 years. That ends now. Our community deserves better — and I won’t stop until we get it.
