Kathy Greggs brings fearless leadership, deep integrity, and unwavering resilience to her campaign for Fayetteville City Council, District 7. A proud multiracial and decorated U.S. Army Combat Veteran, Kathy’s life has been shaped by over 80 years of family military service, from her grandparents to her siblings. Raised in Germany in a military household, she learned early the values of discipline, courage, and civic duty.

Kathy’s journey is one of service, sacrifice, and strength. A survivor of military sexual assault, she has transformed personal adversity into powerful advocacy, fighting for justice, equity, and systemic reform. Her 25+ years of leadership in human capital development, along with 17 years of distinguished federal service, including at Fort Bragg’s elite U.S. Army Special Operations Recruiting Battalion, reflect her commitment to ethical, effective leadership.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Theology, grounding her policy work in both strategic insight and moral clarity. As CEO of Fayetteville PACT and co-founder of the Magnificent 7 Business Cohort, Kathy is a builder of inclusive infrastructure, advocating for police oversight, economic justice, and grassroots empowerment. Under her decade of leadership, Fayetteville PACT has become a national model for civilian oversight and public accountability.

Kathy’s community impact runs deep from disaster relief as a certified FEMA Disaster Operations Manager to championing the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act and the Lautenberg Amendment. She supports women and children facing homelessness through Connections of Cumberland and has earned accolades such as the Community Leader Award from the NC A. Philip Randolph Institute, a Global Recognition Award, and the International Impact Award for her book The Mother, The Soldier, The Activist.

Now, Kathy is ready to bring her battle-tested leadership to City Council—fighting for inclusive growth, local opportunity, and a seat at the table for every Fayetteville resident.
