My Bio

I'm David Payne—U.S. Army veteran, operations manager, husband, and father—proud to call Canal Winchester home. I served with the 82nd Airborne Division, completing two tours in Iraq, and have carried the values of discipline, service, and leadership into every chapter of my life since.

After my military service, I built a career in manufacturing, working my way up from the shop floor to operations manager. Today, I’m raising two children here with my wife, and like so many families in Canal Winchester, we care deeply about the safety, prosperity, and future of our community.

I believe in servant leadership—that elected officials should be the extended voice of the people they represent. My life has been one of service, and now I’m stepping up to serve our city in a new way.

As a candidate for Canal Winchester City Council, I believe in making sure our city’s future reflects the values of the people who live here.
